The audience thought a goal was coming when Heriberto Correa got free with Ralph Roeles in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Johan Saveneij charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johan Saveneij the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 7 minutes into the match, Angel Alvarenga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ralph Roeles. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angel Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ralph Roeles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute GuateFortín were awarded a corner. Angel Alvarenga went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on GuateFortín's corner Angel Alvarenga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ralph Roeles quite easily take care of the ball. Serge Frankena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt van der Laan in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt van der Laan came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GuateFortín's Zico Zellier was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 40th minute Jan de Vlieger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Roberto Trotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karel Kimman charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karel Kimman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Karel Kimman hit a great ball.
The wind increased when Thierry Henry made the kick off in the second half. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Caiola in the 53rd minute of play. Ralph Roeles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt van der Laan in the 63rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Nery Pumpido threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serge Frankena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 69 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's Thierry Henry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ralph Roeles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thierry Henry in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralph Roeles saved Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting behind. In the 74th minute of the match, Jan de Vlieger tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nery Pumpido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. GuateFortín's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Emiliano Caiola scored to the left of an out of position Nery Pumpido, making the score, 3-1. GuateFortín's Severo Rameriz was substituted for Stanyo Búnkov. GuateFortín made a substitution. Ivan Lozano replaced Roberto Trotta. GuateFortín made a substitution. William Villanueva replaced Zico Zellier. Angel Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Angel Alvarenga got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt van der Laan. GuateFortín's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Emiliano Caiola scored to the left of an out of position Nery Pumpido, making the score, 3-2. After 92 minutes of play, GuateFortín's Thierry Henry made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ralph Roeles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Caiola in the 95th minute of play. Danilo Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan de Vlieger in the 98th minute of the match. In the 98th minute, Jan de Vlieger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. GuateFortín's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
