In the 16th minute, Sven-Olof Sjöberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Candelaria FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Danilo Testa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Marquez came free, but Seyhan Atlıhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Testa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Urki in the 25th minute of the match. Candelaria FC's Timoteo Michael was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Seyhan Atlıhan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Marquez in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Seyhan Atlıhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute Carlos Fernández shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Testa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Arnaldo Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Olof Sjöberg struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Seyhan Atlıhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelaria FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Marquez made a kick off. Seyhan Atlıhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Marquez in the 51st minute of the match. Seyhan Atlıhan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Candelaria FC made a substitution. Antonio Alzamendi replaced Bart Pellen. After 82 minutes of play, Candelaria FC's Antonio Alzamendi made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Seyhan Atlıhan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Seyhan Atlıhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okanalp Özdil, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Libertad. Candelaria FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
