In the 9th minute, Ronaldinho Fenomeno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Tino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Club El Progreso were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after AS Pikachuzim's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adolfo Fidensio took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Adolfo Fidensio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oliverio Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Ronaldinho Fenomeno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Tino was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Club El Progreso's Enzo Bot got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute Ronaldinho Fenomeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Diego Portela got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 38th minute, Indiana Jones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Fenomeno in the 40th minute of play forced Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Benjamin Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bonifacio Txindoki's late challenge caught a AS Pikachuzim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Txindoki helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Club El Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Txindoki. When Ronaldinho Fenomeno came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the AS Pikachuzim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho Fenomeno couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldinho Fenomeno was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes AS Pikachuzim got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Tudor. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Diego Portela got a free kick in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Club El Progreso's goal looked a bit too open when Max Möllgren came free, but Benjamin Tino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Fenomeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Ronaldinho Fenomeno sped through Club El Progreso's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benjamin Tino. Benjamin Tino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. If Luciano Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AS Pikachuzim's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
