Barrenta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nariman Mansourian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caco Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 9th minute of the match. Caco Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 12th minute of play. Marcelinho Ramalho hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Edgar Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ryszard Iwanowski's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 19thth minute of the game Murilo Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Barrenta SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Murilo Prestes took the corner. Murilo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Edgar Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Prestes in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Agustín Tastzian put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Caco Azevedo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murilo Prestes in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Trigo saved Barrenta SC from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Nariman Mansourian reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Caco Azevedo. The goal made the score 2-0. SORRISO E. C.'s Hüsnü Saltuk pulled a muscle in his leg after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 44 minutes into the game, Marcelinho Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrenta SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SORRISO E. C. the free kick. After 45 played minutes Barrenta SC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Ramalho. Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Prestes in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murilo Prestes to make the kick off. Caco Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 50th minute of play. Luiz Paulo do Valle made a great header on Barrenta SC's corner, it was just that SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo managed to reach the ball for a save. Edgar Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Prestes in the 56th minute of the match. Murilo Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Trigo having to interfere. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Genílson Leite replaced Urban Stenman. In the 69th minute Natanael de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nariman Mansourian in the 73rd minute of play. Barrenta SC were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after SORRISO E. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Paulo do Valle took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fellipe Lago in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caco Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Leite in the 79th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Caco Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute Agustín Tastzian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
