Rubio Mor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Prestes in the 12th minute of the match. Rubio Mor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute, Doni Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ornopata defense, Murilo Prestes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubio Mor. The Ornopata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubio Mor should have stopped the shot. Caco Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipo Inzaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Ornopata's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Iwanowski came free, but Rubio Mor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Björnsson in the 32nd minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Caco Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by SORRISO E. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ricart Iturburu was slow to take the kick. During this time Ornopata's players had a chance to rest. Rubio Mor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu de Mendonça hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Caco Azevedo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murilo Prestes was the one to do the kick off. Caco Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiktor Björnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryszard Iwanowski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rubio Mor firmly grabbed it by the left post. A nice corner shot did that Mauro Vallines got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Caco Azevedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 72ndth minute of the game Marco Pro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Pro in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Loredo in the 80th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Caco Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Prestes in the 84th minute of play forced Ornopata's goalkeeper Rubio Mor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Wiktor Björnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caco Azevedo should have stopped the shot. When Marco Pro came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ornopata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Pro couldn't finish the play. Chants of SORRISO E. C. echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ornopata had held the ball for most of the match.
