The audience was convinced that Inge Braa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Óscar Cordoba was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 9thth minute of the game Inge Braa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute Inge Braa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inge Braa in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Óscar Cordoba saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Inge Braa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doffes Damer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Bilintx came free, but Gabriel Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inge Braa in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Doffes Damer getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Feliks Gniech hit a great ball. Inge Braa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Óscar Cordoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Braa in the 31st minute of play. Óscar Cordoba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inge Braa went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Gabriel Fanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Bilintx in the 36th minute of play. Doffes Damer's Göran Vedholm quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eustacio Loiola, made in the 37th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inge Braa in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Óscar Cordoba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Braa, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 39 minutes of play, Doffes Damer's Inge Braa made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Óscar Cordoba was left in no man's land by his defense there! 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting de Gijón's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Göran Vedholm was slow to take the kick. During this time Doffes Damer's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Su Yao Ting heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Óscar Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Braa in the 46th minute of the match.

Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Braa, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Doffes Damer's Inge Braa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Óscar Cordoba. Óscar Cordoba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Gabriel Fanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Rufo in the 59th minute of play. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Mario Zanabria replaced Alejandro Rufo. Doffes Damer's Andréas Stigsson was substituted for Greg Barrera. 67 minutes into the match, Inge Braa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Óscar Cordoba. Sporting de Gijón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inge Braa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Doffes Damer's Erland Markusson was substituted for Feliks Gniech. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Braa, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Gabriel Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Zanabria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Fanström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Leopoldo Barbosa could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Óscar Cordoba however easily saved by the left post. Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leopoldo Barbosa 94 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-7. The Sporting de Gijón supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Doffes Damer's performance. The match ended with a win for Doffes Damer.
