In the 18th minute Nemesio Hechter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Capua Whitewolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Nisporeanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Alex Mansilha sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Capua Whitewolves's Jass Villems didn't even have to move. After 46 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Gary Lineker. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Capua Whitewolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Hechter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But to his dismay, Hanung Sephtianda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Paul Heyckendorf made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Nemesio Hechter sent off a good shot on target. Jass Villems took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxime Vrints, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf got control of the ball when Kiur Uusmaa tried to sneak it across the goal line.
