In the 15th minute Epifanio Gagriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Carlomagno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kara Melo in the 20th minute of play forced Furia Calamar's goalkeeper Daniel Hanot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Eduardo Soriano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Furia Calamar the free kick. In the 21st minute, Eduardo Soriano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomero Amato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Matias Carlomagno made a huge save. When Kara Melo came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the San Lorenzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kara Melo couldn't finish the play. Matias Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Gagriel in the 32nd minute of play. San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. In the 37th match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigi Penaru to maneuver through the defense. Damaso Sotero might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matias Carlomagno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Sotero ran back to his position shaking his head. Mo Yi Sang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ke Lin Mo to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Jozef Barmoš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Carlomagno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Hanot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mo Yi Sang's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mo Yi Sang to strike the kick off in the second half. Mo Yi Sangs short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Daniel Hanot to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Amato in the 56th minute of play. Daniel Hanot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mo Yi Sang, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Savion came free, but Matias Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Furia Calamar's Erubiel Arotza was substituted for Conrado Savion. Mo Yi Sang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Daniel Hanot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matias Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Indar, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Eduardo Soriano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gigi Penaru hit a great ball. Matias Carlomagno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Reynardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Hanot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mo Yi Sang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 78 minute of play. If Mo Yi Sang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Hanot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mo Yi Sang's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After 89 minutes of play, Furia Calamar's Baldomiro Reynardo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matias Carlomagno was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 93 played minutes Furia Calamar got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Alströmer. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
