The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiberiu Caramarin in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sören Tunberg saved Wargön from getting behind. MIT's Calistrat Madgearu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save MIT from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Liberatore got free with Calistrat Madgearu in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bayan Baye in the 23rd minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sören Tunberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 33 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Vâtcă. Mikael Liberatore received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Calistrat Madgearu came out and tried to block the shot, but Mikael Liberatore slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 37th minute. Wargön's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bayan Baye in the 41st minute. At last the ball reached Artur Buba at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of MIT. 3-1.

The wind increased when Tiberiu Caramarin made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 52 minutes Wargön's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mihăiţă Ilarie who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on MIT's corner Mihăiţă Ilarie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sören Tunberg quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mikael Liberatore in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calistrat Madgearu saved MIT from getting behind. Tiberiu Caramarin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Sören Tunberg made a huge save. Ivan Vâtcă made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Wargön's Zdzislaw Liermann. Calistrat Madgearu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Liberatore, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Wargön's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Sören Tunberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sören Tunberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wargön's Sören Tunberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Wargön from getting a goal against them. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Liberatore in the 68th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Mikael Liberatore came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Wargön's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dorin Banu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Wargön made a substitution. Wargön's Sören Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Tunander in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Siöberg came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The MIT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Wargön were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MIT for a fine match.
