A collision led to KS LEW Chorzów getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Oséas Romero hit a great ball. Dimitri Bougault took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ignacy Zagrobelny. KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 15th minute, Ciro Etor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dimitri Bougault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludomil Kajdasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Vaz in the 19th minute of the match. If Hélio Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ludomil Kajdasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Vaz in the 22nd minute of play. Arnaud Konieczny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. KS LEW Chorzów's Ignacy Zagrobelny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonin Dagorne in the 29th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaud Konieczny got free with Ignacy Zagrobelny in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Alcântara in the 43rd minute of play forced Herblay's goalkeeper Ludomil Kajdasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ludomil Kajdasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Beninda in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Hélio Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The Herblay fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Herblay's Arnaud Konieczny looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ignacy Zagrobelny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitri Bougault in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, KS LEW Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Antonin Dagorne came free, but Ignacy Zagrobelny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herblay were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after KS LEW Chorzów's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dimitri Bougault took the corner. The corner ended in Dimitri Bougault almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KS LEW Chorzów's Ignacy Zagrobelny did a great save. After 57 played minutes Dimitri Bougault shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for KS LEW Chorzów's Ignacy Zagrobelny to catch but Dimitri Bougault was lucky. It became 2-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. 64 minutes into the game, one of Herblay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave KS LEW Chorzów a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marian Beninda, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz. 3-2. After some careless play in the KS LEW Chorzów defense, Arnaud Konieczny kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacy Zagrobelny. The KS LEW Chorzów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacy Zagrobelny should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute Marian Beninda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Kajdasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacy Zagrobelny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonin Dagorne, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute Marian Beninda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Kajdasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacy Zagrobelny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonin Dagorne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz got control of the ball when Hélio Vaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, KS LEW Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Antonin Dagorne came free, but Ignacy Zagrobelny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
