They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Mendonça to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Tomas Wallin got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Loco De Remate's Rene Aires in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Scarlet Speedster's zone, Rene Aires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Proença came out of the goal and Rene Aires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Fausto Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Jens-Ove Eriksson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scarlet Speedster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loco De Remate the free kick. Naldo Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Virila in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Fausto Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Catarinense. Loco De Remate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3.
