Rene Aires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Loco De Remate's Rene Aires got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Rene Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loco De Remate's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Aires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sepp Mainville breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Herz in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Zelg FC booed when Loco De Remate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Aires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sepp Mainville read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Rene Aires took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sepp Mainville. Sepp Mainville dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Loco De Remate's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leandro Virila in the 34th minute. Amado Nisio made a great header on Loco De Remate's corner, it was just that Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville managed to reach the ball for a save. Rene Aires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Zelg FC defense, Rene Aires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sepp Mainville. The Zelg FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sepp Mainville should have stopped the shot. Gilles Clerc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Walmir Catarinense made a huge save. Lenny Traugott charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lenny Traugott the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Zelg FC got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Traugott. 44 minutes into the game, Loco De Remate's Rene Aires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sepp Mainville made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rene Aires was the one to do the kick off. Jonas Herz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loco De Remate's Hıdır Namal was substituted for Feliciano Iratxo. In the 65th minute Rene Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sepp Mainville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefano Hubli hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Loco De Remate's Baškim Sumulikovski was substituted for Bruno Medero. Loco De Remate's Clodoveo Christobal was substituted for Rene Aires. Hıdır Namal came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sepp Mainville could save by the left post. Irwin Monney might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmir Catarinense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Irwin Monney ran back to his position shaking his head. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irwin Monney in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Hıdır Namal made a precise shot to the right of Sepp Mainville. Zelg FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Zelg FC's Stephan Eichenberger quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roberto Mouzo, made in the 85th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Hıdır Namal took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Sepp Mainville to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Loco De Remate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
