Davor Šuker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Söder having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Éder Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Jonathan Löv took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Karl-Johan Ahlqvist to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, Firma Barnängen's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mark Olsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Black Rose 1979's Waldemar Matorin got a free kick in the 26th minute. Davor Šuker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rune Söder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Löv in the 31st minute of play. Rune Söder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davor Šuker in the 32nd minute of play. Rune Söder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davor Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Gerardo Hitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Firma Barnängen's Rune Söder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rune Söder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Hitz in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Hitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Humberto Alcaraz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Firma Barnängen's Rune Söder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Firma Barnängen from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Alcaraz came free, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Hitz in the 62nd minute of play forced Firma Barnängen's goalkeeper Rune Söder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Söder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Hitz in the 71st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Black Rose 1979's Gerardo Hitz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rune Söder. That made the score 3-2 after 73 minutes of play. With a little luck, Firma Barnängen's Rune Söder got control of the ball when Gerardo Hitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rune Söder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davor Šuker in the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Black Rose 1979 getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. João Garcia hit a great ball. Rune Söder made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Gerardo Hitz sent off a good shot on target. Waldemar Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Humberto Alcaraz notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th match minute, Black Rose 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davor Šuker to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, Éder Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Rose 1979's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Firma Barnängen the free kick. In the 95th minute, one of Black Rose 1979:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Black Rose 1979. Firma Barnängen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
