Cássio Gonçalves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Orlan. CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Christian Orlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cássio Gonçalves in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Zhuo Chao Chuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cássio Gonçalves was slow to take the kick. During this time Go Ahead Eagles's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cássio Gonçalves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CE LAJEADENSE RS's Christian Orlan did a great save. In the 14th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho Castro to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Gonçalves got free with Christian Orlan in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cássio Gonçalves was slow to take the kick. During this time Go Ahead Eagles's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Panos Karagoutis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christian Orlan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 20 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Orlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute Iustin Bâru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 30th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Christian Orlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Amorebieta in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Go Ahead Eagles got a corner. CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cássio Gonçalves ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Go Ahead Eagles's Cássio Gonçalves to fire away a dangerous shot which Christian Orlan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Scarafia Ghost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Iigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Iustin Bâru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scarafia Ghost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Udo Nigula in the 37th minute of play. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christian Orlan. Christian Orlan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0.

CE LAJEADENSE RS made a substitution. Renato Quadros replaced Jorge Pires. The wind increased when Iustin Bâru made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Emil Fărcășan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Go Ahead Eagles the free kick. Cássio Gonçalves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Orlan. CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Udo Nigula came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the CE LAJEADENSE RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Udo Nigula couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Caetano Saad got a free kick in the 61st minute. Christian Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Bâru in the 62nd minute of the match. Christian Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Amorebieta in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Orlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Fărcășan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Manga Mangkudikusumah replaced Panos Karagoutis. CE LAJEADENSE RS made a substitution. Bater Palma replaced Udo Nigula. A collision led to CE LAJEADENSE RS getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Emil Fărcășan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Lewandowski in the 79th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Christian Orlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Erling Lewandowski notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of CE LAJEADENSE RS's Christian Orlan. Christian Orlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Gonçalves in the 85th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Christian Orlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Fernando Amorebieta sped through CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christian Orlan. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Erling Lewandowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but Erling Lewandowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Orlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Orlan came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Go Ahead Eagles's Fernando Amorebieta. But to his dismay, Fernando Amorebieta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Christian Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erling Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Fernando Amorebieta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Go Ahead Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0.
