In the 8thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Todos al Fondo's Orlando Rivera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elizardo Moyua kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justino Gotzon in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Orlando Rivera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Todos al Fondo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elizardo Moyua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Todos al Fondo's Justino Gotzon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 33rd minute of the match Todos al Fondo got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivon Curiel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ivon Curiel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Orlando Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play forced Todos al Fondo's goalkeeper Orlando Rivera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Jacobo Fidele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Todos al Fondo's goalkeeper Orlando Rivera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justino Gotzon in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Todos al Fondo made a substitution. Tiémoué Bakayoko replaced Jacobo Fidele. Todos al Fondo's Maurito Boselli was substituted for Pascual Eliazar. Orlando Rivera was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Maurito Boselli came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 91st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Yu Nan Li put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Todos al Fondo had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
