To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Queiroz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Queiroz in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Suprs Academia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jacek Ptaszek quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Saelices in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacek Ptaszek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Agustín Saelices put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jacek Ptaszek. Jacek Ptaszek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Macit Sağıt dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Daniel Zorita charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
