YKE's supporters rose to their feet, but Twan van Nistelrooij was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute, Twan van Nistelrooij made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Twan van Nistelrooij got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. YKE's Samet Ağar got a free kick in the 21st minute. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felix Leahu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Leahu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rodri Gol kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Leahu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Felix Leahu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 44 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samet Ağar in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Felix Leahu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samet Ağar in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Felix Leahu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 57th minute of play forced F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Felix Leahu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Samet Ağar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Leahu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Twan van Nistelrooij made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Abram Secada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felix Leahu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Felix Leahu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Mastache's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. A hard shot 84 in the game by Abram Secada from a close distance when the talented Felix Leahu managed to make a qualified save. F.C. YKE's players were relieved. Felix Leahu was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Abram Secada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abram Secada really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. F.C. YKE's Mugur Ceaușescu was substituted for Traian Brăiloiu. F.C. YKE's Zygmunt Zachemski was substituted for Twan van Nistelrooij. F.C. YKE's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
