Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfredo Martins started the match with the kick off. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodri Gol in the 3rd minute of play. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodri Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Rodri Gol fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dida Taffarel, passed just outside the right post. In the 10th minute Samet Ağar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, German Cano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marquês de Herval and the F.C. YKE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by German Cano. Dida Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Brăiloiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Martins in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Leahu saved F.C. YKE from getting behind. Twan van Nistelrooij scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dida Taffarel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Twan van Nistelrooijs short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Dida Taffarel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samet Ağar in the 36th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Twan van Nistelrooij sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Twan van Nistelrooij stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Paraibano got free with Felix Leahu in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marquês de Herval's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Moussa Kabre in the 53rd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in German Cano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Brăiloiu in the 55th minute of play. Felix Leahu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, F.C. YKE's Samet Ağar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dida Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a little luck, F.C. YKE's Felix Leahu got control of the ball when Nestor Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Brăiloiu in the 73rd minute of play. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Twan van Nistelrooij in the 75th minute of play. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. YKE's Twan van Nistelrooij. But to his dismay, Twan van Nistelrooij quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Felix Leahu made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Nestor Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Brăiloiu in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Brăiloiu in the 85th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Felix Leahu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Paraibano. Felix Leahu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 89th minute of the match. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodri Gol in the 90th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. F.C. YKE had played much better football throughout.
