The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 10th minute of play forced Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s goalkeeper João Vítor Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Chicão Meirelles got a free kick in the 16th minute. João Vítor Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. João Vítor Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Milan da Freguesia F.C. defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Vítor Arósio. The Milan da Freguesia F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Vítor Arósio should have stopped the shot. Chicão Meirelles hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Du Song Lin to make the kick off. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Du Song Lin scored 2-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Milan da Freguesia F.C. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ange Di Maria hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Vítor Arósio. The goal made the score 2-3. João Vítor Arósio came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Du Song Lin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. João Vítor Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. João Vítor Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Milan da Freguesia F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
