Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jaime Pardo got the match started through his kick off. Alpargatas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oscar Gagriel in the 3rd minute. The corner led Alpargatas FC's Oscar Gagriel to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacobo Nores despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordeara, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The referee ignored Alpargatas FC's protests and gave Mahadi Kalengkongan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Alpargatas FC's Mahadi Kalengkongan got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 9 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. Jaime Pardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Maximino Gipuzkoa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Maximino Gipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alpargatas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Gipuzkoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 24 minutes, Augusto Cordeara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpargatas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Cordeara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Augusto Cordeara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpargatas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. After 35 played minutes Alpargatas FC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Cordeara. When Paraguay's Jaime Pardo in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alpargatas FC's goalie prevented a goal. Maximino Gipuzkoa might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximino Gipuzkoa ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oscar Gagriel made a kick off. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Alpargatas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Cordeara didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 52nd minute of play forced Alpargatas FC's goalkeeper Lucian Mitrofan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Gipuzkoa in the 53rd minute of play. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Gagriel in the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Gagriel came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alpargatas FC's Romeo Bortzaioriz was substituted for Maximino Gipuzkoa. After 69 minutes Alpargatas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Pardo who took care of the corner kick. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Oscar Gagriel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Alpargatas FC's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucian Mitrofan came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paraguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
