The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mila Gröhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 5th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. When ALTHENTIC F.C's Betão de Medeiros in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mila Gröhe having to interfere. Mila Gröhe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after ALTHENTIC F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mila Gröhe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mila Gröhe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Andino's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When Luis Andino got free in front of the goal in the 31st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Mila Gröhe was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mila Gröhe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betão de Medeiros in the 42nd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão de Medeiros in the 55th minute of play. But to his dismay, Betão de Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Odeen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mila Gröhe having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Betão de Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Betão de Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão de Medeiros in the 87th minute of play. When ALTHENTIC F.C's Betão de Medeiros in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marquinhos Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, ALTHENTIC F.C could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
