Amos Zara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 6th minute of the match. Amos Zara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. When Frank Di Fabrizio fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Prato Valera's protests and gave Frank Di Fabrizio a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 92nd minute of play forced Prato Valera's goalkeeper Amos Zara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosimo Baresi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The Prato Valera supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Venezuela's performance. The match ended with a win for Venezuela.
