The audience was convinced that Ryszard Percha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudolf Meulman was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Fedele Mussi got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ryszard Percha took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudolf Meulman. Rudolf Meulman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 18th minute Luisito Nesor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Luisito Nesor got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the Olimpo de Bahia Blanca defense, Ryszard Percha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rudolf Meulman. The Olimpo de Bahia Blanca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudolf Meulman should have stopped the shot. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Satordi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rudolf Meulman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Percha in the 26th minute of play. Chivos de Punto Fijo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Narciso Gombal in the 27th minute. A nice corner shot did that Narciso Gombal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rudolf Meulman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rudolf Meulman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Mussi in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Liev Tolstoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rudolf Meulman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to Chivos de Punto Fijo getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Fedele Mussi hit a great ball. Rudolf Meulman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liev Tolstoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Chivos de Punto Fijo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Teodoro Cisco was substituted for Saverio Giro. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ryszard Percha to strike the kick off in the second half. Rudolf Meulman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Percha in the 54th minute of the match. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Juan Torrent was substituted for Ryszard Percha. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Filip Bochinski was substituted for Liev Tolstoy. After 58 played minutes Chivos de Punto Fijo got a freekick which was hit by Cezary Makomaski. After 59 played minutes, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Tommi Valkama shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dani Hernández came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Olimpo de Bahia Blanca reached it. Juan Torrent received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rudolf Meulman came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Torrent slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Teodoro Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Filip Bochinski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudolf Meulman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Satordi came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Satordi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Hernández having to interfere. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Dani Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Nesor in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Cisco came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Torrent's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudolf Meulman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After 78 minutes Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filip Bochinski who took care of the corner kick. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Filip Bochinski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rudolf Meulman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With his leg Rudolf Meulman managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Chivos de Punto Fijo's Mannuel Ser fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Chivos de Punto Fijo booed when Olimpo de Bahia Blanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Muc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmund Tomiczek charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmund Tomiczek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Filip Bochinski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalkeeper Rudolf Meulman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filip Bochinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Rudolf Meulman made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Rudolf Meulman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Chivos de Punto Fijo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
