Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horia Crăciunescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mircea Bostan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mircea Bostan during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Sibiu's Mircea Bostan got a free kick in the 9th minute. Axel Tasis's late challenge caught a FC Inter Sibiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Tasis helped the player get up and apologised. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Enciulescu in the 13th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. 15 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Enciulescu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes FC Inter Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Mocanu. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Crăciunescu having to interfere. In the 26th minute Basarab Enciulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horia Crăciunescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Inter Sibiu the free kick. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match.

After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 51st minute. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basarab Enciulescu went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Eliseo Noboa got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 60 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Toader Nicolae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Horia Crăciunescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Tasis. With a little luck, FC Inter Sibiu's Horia Crăciunescu got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Inter Sibiu's Horia Crăciunescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Sibiu's Isac Liviu got a free kick in the 70th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Chimeț came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Toader Nicolae came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Enciulescu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Basarab Enciulescu came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FC Inter Sibiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Enciulescu couldn't finish the play. When Juan Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Juan Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Basarab Enciulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Inter Sibiu's Vintilă Dindelegan suffered a sore foot after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. FC Inter Sibiu's Gelu Alupoaie was substituted for Vintilă Dindelegan. FC Inter Sibiu were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
