Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Fabio Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plaza Jewell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Cresconio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Pablo Mei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Freddy Amato lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Jonathan Ferrant. 16 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Plaza Jewell's Pablo Mei. Pablo Mei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th minute Cayetano Playo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Plaza Jewell made a substitution. Jacobo Barros replaced Cayetano Playo. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Freddy Amato in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zabal Ubeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Amato in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Cresconio came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Cresconio in the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 37th minute. Salvador Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Freddy Amato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
In the 52nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 minutes of play, Plaza Jewell's Fabio Cresconio made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 61 played minutes Plaza Jewell got a freekick which was hit by Selim Urkan. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Patricio Costa off the ground. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Plaza Jewell's Freddy Amato got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Plaza Jewell made a substitution. Aristides Iratxo replaced Fabio Cresconio. After a rather tough play, Plaza Jewell's Selim Urkan got a free kick in the 76th minute. Pablo Mei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Aristides Iratxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aristides Iratxo scored 3-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Freddy Amato came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Plaza Jewell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Amato couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Plaza Jewell had played much better football throughout.
