Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastião Xavier ran back to his position shaking his head. If Edu Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. Edu Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Luís Fabiano Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Sebastião Xavier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Sebastião Xavier came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the ARON FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Xavier couldn't finish the play. Maicon Viana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. In the 35th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fabiano Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sebastião Xavier made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Villa. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Sebastião Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, ARON FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. ARON FC's Manuel Bueno was substituted for Sebastião Xavier. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Viana in the 68th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Proença in the 77th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Fabiano Vaz was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Oséas Rosa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Proença in the 89th minute of play. After 91 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jorginho Mattos who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ARON FC's corner Jorginho Mattos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ARON FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
