Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Karen FC got a freekick which was hit by Arvin Svanberg. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slawomir Majak in the 7th minute of play. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Slawomir Majak scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ma Yong Jun. Ma Yong Jun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Karen FC's Ma Yong Jun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. Ma Yong Jun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Slawomir Majak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Arvin Svanberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Karen FC's Kiprijan Vučurević got a free kick in the 31st minute. Ma Yong Jun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rdth minute of the game Slawomir Majak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Einar Carlsson hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ma Yong Jun. Karen FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. When Rickard Lövkvist came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Karen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rickard Lövkvist couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ma Yong Jun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After 55 played minutes Karen FC got a freekick which was hit by Einar Carlsson. In the 58th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Karen FC's Ma Yong Jun did a great save. 60 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ma Yong Jun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bai Yan Feng, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute Arvin Svanberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ma Yong Jun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Ma Yong Jun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arvin Svanberg in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Karen FC's Arvin Svanberg got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Karen FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slawomir Majak in the 90th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slawomir Majak in the 93rd minute of play. Karen FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
