Artur Boruc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Boruc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Boruc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Nerio Etxeberria kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Julen Castellano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Julen Castellano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. Artur Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. After 30 minutes Rayo Bengala's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Artur Boruc quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Rayo Bengala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Boruc was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Macabeo Sampil went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Macabeo Sampil came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Macabeo Sampil made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Rayo Bengala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Artur Boruc quite easily take care of the ball. In the 56th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Boruc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute. Julen Castellano struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rayo Bengala. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Artur Boruc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Boruc was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 2-2. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Macabeo Sampil came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Artur Boruc in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 84 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Artur Boruc managed to make a qualified save. Rayo Bengala's players were relieved. After 85 played minutes Rayo Bengala got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Dobale. Rayo Bengala's Muntis Stiebriņsons was substituted for Macabeo Sampil. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc managed to reach the ball for a save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Artur Boruc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 95th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
