Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kyle Thake got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Giorgio Caruana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Kyle Thake took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Thake's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giorgio Caruana got free with Benito Sanz in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Giorgio Caruana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Kyle Thake who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Thake came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 3-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Kyle Thake elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 26th minute Godwin Montesin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Floriana Celtics were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Godwin Montesin took the corner. Giorgio Caruana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giorgio Caruana in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mats Sangolt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Puig in the 33rd minute of the match. The Floriana Celtics fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Floriana Celtics's Giorgio Caruana looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 38th minute. Kyle Thake did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-0 to the left of a surprised Benito Sanz 40 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Ellis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godwin Montesin, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Mats Sangolt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Giorgio Caruana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgio Caruana in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Alex Testaferrata Viani made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Floriana Celtics made a substitution. Matt Sciortino replaced Godwin Montesin. Kyle Thake's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Kyle Thake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Edward Ellis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Robby Baggio might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robby Baggio ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Testaferrata Viani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Kyle Thake notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mats Sangolt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robby Baggio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. 88 minutes into the match, Matt Sciortino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matt Sciortino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. 91 minutes into the match, Robby Baggio notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Floriana Celtics players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
