The supporters of Ecuador booed when Domínguez AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Gaitano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Omar Conrao having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Domínguez AFC's Omar Conrao. Omar Conrao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Conrao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilano Silbestre hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Omar Conrao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fidel Gaitano to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Gaitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Domínguez AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Baldomiro Senio hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Domínguez AFC's goalkeeper Omar Conrao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Omar Conrao however easily saved by the left post. After 59 played minutes, Domínguez AFC's Bernabe Weterio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Domínguez AFC reached it. Fidel Gaitano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Omar Conrao having to make a save. Kiur Erik kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Omar Conrao came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Omar Conrao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Hermon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omar Conrao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Silbestre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Omar Conrao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Domínguez AFC's Fidel Gaitano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Hermon, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
