The audience was convinced that Loco Durazno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jax Williamson was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jax Williamson. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Anders Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Dixon, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jan Dixon sped through Golden Lions FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anders Lundqvist. Anders Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Dixon came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
