An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play forced Cats and dogs's goalkeeper Joe Camp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joe Camp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Hamard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Hamard took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cats and dogs's Joe Camp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play forced Cats and dogs's goalkeeper Joe Camp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cristian Sancho. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Boch in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute Cats and dogs were awarded a corner. Nicolas Hamard went to the cornerflag to take it. Juan Sebastián Puig thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Julio Vera, a very annoying self made goal in the 56th minute which led to 2-1. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Hamard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Hamard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cats and dogs were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
