Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Atlético Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Zarando Lastras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 4 minutes Atlético Maravilla's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Zarando Lastras came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Anders Söderlund sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the game, Dionisio Hidalgo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dionisio Hidalgo in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 21st minute Dionisio Hidalgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Quentin Gonzalez tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Hidalgo in the 27th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quentin Gonzalez in the 29th minute. In the 36th minute, Rudolph Grieve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zarando Lastras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Dionisio Hidalgo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Maravilla. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leopoldo de Queiroz got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quentin Gonzalez in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Maravilla from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Atlético Maravilla's Zarando Lastras got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Atlético Maravilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zarando Lastras in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarando Lastras having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Quentin Gonzalez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Atlético Maravilla's Honorato Arraz was substituted for Herminio March. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quentin Gonzalez in the 80th minute of play. Quentin Gonzalez scored 4-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Gonzalez in the 86th minute of the match. Aniceto Campello scored 5-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 95 minutes, Leopoldo de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Maravilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
