The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quentin Gonzalez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 82nd minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zarando Lastras. The goal made the score 1-3. Zarando Lastras made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Zarando Lastras in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Maravilla throughout the match.
