The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Niceto Umea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Haritzeder got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Haritzeder in the 44th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Leonel Haritzeder sent off a good shot on target.
