Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Célio Leite kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play forced Altamora FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Liher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiburcio Liher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 8 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tiburcio Liher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Liher having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Célio Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Célio Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altamora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Célio Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Tiburcio Liher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Leite in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Célio Leite had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Célio Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiburcio Liher saved Altamora FC from getting behind. Rolf Pocobello hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Célio Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Liher having to interfere. In the 52nd minute Célio Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tiburcio Liher saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A throw-in in the 58th minute of the game was made by Camilo Gisbert with Cristian Sancho as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maciej Pankowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Altamora FC made a substitution. Agustín Saelices's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Tiburcio Liher skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Leite in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Altamora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higino lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiburcio Liher made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Célio Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Altamora FC fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Altamora FC's Célio Leite looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Altamora FC.
