Guntademaro Goyenechea made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry Tucknott narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Tucknott was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Tucknott was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Tuñon in the 12th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Thiago Pliego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Henry Tucknott in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chile's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
