Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Wisła Kraków Old Boys booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Wisła Kraków Old Boys were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
