Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sava Dodov in the 13th minute of play. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Zlatko Stumbov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knights Templar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 22nd match minute, Knights Templar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Merodiyski to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Jaime Cazalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bozhin Palakarchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Hristiyan Tzukev with Zlatko Stumbov as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximiliano Escribano in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bozhin Palakarchev saved Knights Templar from getting behind. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Bozhin Palakarchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Hristiyan Tzukev made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. After a defensive mix-up in Knights Templar's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bozhin Palakarchev came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the last second Joaquin Gayoso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Sava Dodov in the 40thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Acho Gergishanov made a great header on Knights Templar's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Bozhin Palakarchev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Bilyan Púntov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Bozhin Palakarchev in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bozhin Palakarchev came out of the goal and Maximiliano Escribano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatko Stumbov in the 70th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Escribano's late challenge caught a Knights Templar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximiliano Escribano helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. In the 78th minute, Uruguay's Francisco Seco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Zlatko Stumbov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rungrueng Rau kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Knights Templar players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
