Simon Buckler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Vincent Braithwaite fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Franz Graydon did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 16 minutes into the match. Trevor Burns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Dorking United FC's Franz Graydon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 25 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Franz Graydon came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trevor Burns, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After 33 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. 36 minutes into the game, Dorking United FC's Mike Jefferies nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The audience was convinced that Franz Graydon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Franz Graydon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franz Graydon to make the kick off. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. A collision led to Dorking United FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Nicky Conway hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Graydon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trevor Burns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 61st minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Graydon in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Dorking United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franz Graydon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Franz Graydon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Mike Jefferies took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Nicky Conway hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franz Graydon in the 85th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Franz Graydon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. After 95 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina.
