Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kev Hurtado kicked off to start the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Boldu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Boldu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play forced Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalkeeper Jose Boldu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo ScrugenFC's Jose Boldu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva Saldanha. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doriva Saldanha in the 15th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jose Boldu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Jose Boldu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. Cristian Sancho scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Boldu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Deportivo ScrugenFC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jose Boldu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lolo Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo ScrugenFC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Boldu came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Jose Boldu in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Boldu having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lolo Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zoil Pequeño came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Deportivo ScrugenFC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Doriva Saldanha ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 86th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Boldu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Zoil Pequeño sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zoil Pequeño in the 90th minute of the match. Deportivo ScrugenFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Doriva Saldanha in the 91st minute. A nice corner shot did that Doriva Saldanha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 93 minutes, Zoil Pequeño made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Zoil Pequeño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
