The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamil Baycan in the 4th minute of play. Diguinho Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 10th minute of play forced BraveHeart Warriors's goalkeeper Diguinho Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diguinho Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Kamil Baycan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diguinho Oliveira having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as BraveHeart Warriors's Thierry Henry slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the match, BraveHeart Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Diguinho Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when BraveHeart Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wei Fan Li didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute of play forced BraveHeart Warriors's goalkeeper Diguinho Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Thierry Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, BraveHeart Warriors could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
