A throw-in in the 6th minute of the game was made by Isaac Dayam with Lisandro López as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Severiano Taurino made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Abel Neron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Deportivo Balvanera's Diego Milito fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 32nd minute, Deportivo Balvanera's Severiano Taurino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Neron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gaos during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Deportivo Balvanera a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marciano Koldobika, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. 3-0. In the 46th minute, Severiano Taurino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Milito to make the kick off. Abel Neron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Abel Neron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severiano Taurino in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a Deportivo Balvanera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro López in the 66th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Abel Neron made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Isaac Dayam got a free kick in the 74th minute. Isaac Dayam hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 77 minutes of play Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 77th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severiano Taurino in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82ndth minute of the game Severiano Taurino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Diego Milito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Isaac Dayam made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lisandro López. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Taurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Deportivo Balvanera's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
