In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aves Negras's goalkeeper Marcial Bakar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Aves Negras getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jurand Banas hit a great ball. In the 12th minute of the match Cassius Byrne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcial Bakar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th match minute, Aves Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Urtsin to maneuver through the defense. Edward Mcdonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guter Tobia in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zach Harrison in the 27th minute of play forced Aves Negras's goalkeeper Marcial Bakar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Aves Negras's Guter Tobia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marco Day. Marco Day yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Marcial Bakar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After taking down the ball on USA's corner Cassius Byrne fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcial Bakar quite easily take care of the ball. Guter Tobia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Marco Day when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Guter Tobia might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guter Tobia ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Guter Tobia sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of USA booed when Aves Negras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurand Banas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cassius Byrne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcial Bakar. Aves Negras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcial Bakar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Cassius Byrne could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Marcial Bakar however easily saved by the left post. 61 minutes into the match, Aves Negras's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Marcial Bakar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Clarence Seedorf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aves Negras's Efrain Artal was substituted for Guter Tobia. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Aves Negras made a substitution. Aaron Gallagher replaced Gervasio Pavieta. In the 82nd match minute, Aves Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Perico to maneuver through the defense. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. After a rather tough play, Aves Negras's Enrique Perico got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The audience held their breath when Raphael Moore in the 84th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Marcial Bakar's left hand side. Marcial Bakar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khalid Parry went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 94 minutes into the game, Efrain Artal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
