Erol Suer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 25th minute of play. Jan Persson might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Persson ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Jan Persson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erol Suer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 68th minute of the match.
