In the 7th minute Damaso Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Delfino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, La Cosa Nostra's Hans Otterlei dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Joel Delfino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Zárate, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the Zacisze Częstochowa defense, Hans Otterlei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miroslaw Gollob. The Zacisze Częstochowa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miroslaw Gollob should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute Jurand Cempa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Delfino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jurand Cempa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Delfino was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Hans Otterlei might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miroslaw Gollob. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 33rd minute of the match, Hans Otterlei tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miroslaw Gollob saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joel Delfino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurand Cempa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Hans Otterlei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miroslaw Gollob read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. La Cosa Nostra's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnaldo Perpinya in the 40th minute. A nice corner shot did that Arnaldo Perpinya got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Miroslaw Gollob quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaston Zárate was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Margiris Nekrošius in the 51st minute of play forced La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Joel Delfino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Hans Otterlei managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cosa Nostra's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Otterlei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miroslaw Gollob breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When La Cosa Nostra's Hans Otterlei in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. La Cosa Nostra made a substitution. Bartolo Nesor replaced Arnaldo Perpinya. In the 80th minute, Gaston Zárate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marciano Bizen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Marciano Bizen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Miroslaw Gollob was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's Marciano Bizen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miroslaw Gollob narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jurand Cempa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-1 in the 94th playminute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The La Cosa Nostra fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zacisze Częstochowa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
