Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Anibal Jurgi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a PLUMAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anibal Jurgi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Patrick Linares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. PLUMAS's Rogelio Claus was substituted for Patrick Linares. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Anibal Jurgi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Bartolo Berart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogelio Claus's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Rogelio Claus took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Eduardo Gomez might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Gomez ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, PLUMAS's Hector Rosio got a free kick in the 91st minute. Anibal Jurgi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 95th minute of the match. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
