Fredrik Bennet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Berganza went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Bennet having to interfere. Bo Svanström hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Fredrik Bennet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 19th minute of the match. When Isidoro Sarmiento fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Isidoro Sarmiento a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Sarmiento. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredrik Bennet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 36th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Miguel Miralles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Miralles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredrik Bennet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fredrik Bennet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abraham Alguacil went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Alex Cambeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Fredrik Bennet made a huge save. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fredrik Bennet came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Berganza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 53rd minute. Fredrik Bennet made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. Bo Svanström's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Svanström helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Samurai getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bo Svanström hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. 63 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Samurai's Fredrik Bennet. Fredrik Bennet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Smefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Miguel Miralles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henry Åkerström hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Tomas Berganza was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Panama's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 81st minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Bennet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th match minute, Samurai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Svanström to maneuver through the defense. Samurai's Fredrik Bennet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 88th minute of play.
