Xove Tijerina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 32nd minute of play. After 36 played minutes Tala Bosques del Jaure got a freekick which was hit by Kong Xuan Feng. In the 44th minute Cai Wei Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After having played for 52 minutes, Cai Wei Xi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tala Bosques del Jaure's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cai Wei Xi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute Cai Wei Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Wei Xi in the 65th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cai Wei Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Wei Xi in the 71st minute of play. Tala Bosques del Jaure's Edinson Rodríguez was substituted for Cai Wei Xi. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Tala Bosques del Jaure's Tino Godos. But to his dismay, Tino Godos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Edinson Rodríguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Rodríguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Felix Montenegro in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Xove Tijerina, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edinson Rodríguez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. When Tala Bosques del Jaure's Edinson Rodríguez in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
