Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Jose Correa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Hitzeder Manrique recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Amorebieta in the 17th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Amorebieta came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Hitzeder Manrique sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hitzeder Manrique got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Hitzeder Manrique got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 44 minutes of play, Boca Juniors's Hitzeder Manrique made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hitzeder Manrique to strike the kick off in the second half. Boca Juniors's Jacinto Cuadrado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 63rd minute of play. Hitzeder Manrique received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Arkadiusz Banaszak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arkadiusz Banaszak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Amorebieta in the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Rolando Amorebieta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Rolando Amorebieta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Amorebieta came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball.
